Boers & Co to establish new location at the Mechatronics Innovation Campus Schiedam

Boers & Co will be relocating to the newly developed Atlas building at the Mechatronics Innovation Campus Schiedam (MICS). This modern and spacious industrial facility will be constructed between the Van Heekstraat and the Schie in Schiedam and will feature a high-quality appearance that aligns with the ambitions of the high-tech manufacturing industry.

The Mechatronics Innovation Campus has been developed as an environment where technology, knowledge and talent come together. On the campus, companies, educational institutions and partners collaborate on innovation and development within the high-tech sector. The Atlas building will not only provide space for production and development, but also facilitate interaction, consultation and cooperation between the various users of the campus.

The agreement for the new location was officially signed on Friday 5 April by Ronald Koot, CEO of Boers & Co, and SDK Vastgoed (VolkerWessels). With this step, Boers & Co deliberately chooses a location that is easily accessible and offers access to a broad pool of technical talent in South Holland.

According to Ronald Koot, establishing operations on the campus contributes to further growth and strengthens the position of Boers & Co within the high-tech manufacturing industry. By combining knowledge, technology and collaboration, an environment is created in which innovation is stimulated and competitiveness can be further enhanced. This enables the company to continue delivering quality and continuity to customers and partners in the future.

Within the Atlas building, the three divisions of Boers & Co will be brought together under one roof: Machining, Sheet Metal and Mechatronics. By physically combining these disciplines, strong synergy is created between the different areas of expertise. This allows Boers & Co to support its clients even more effectively with integrated solutions in the fields of precision machining, sheet metal fabrication and mechatronic assemblies.

The new location at the Mechatronics Innovation Campus marks the next step in the development of Boers & Co and underlines the ambition to continue investing in innovation, collaboration and technological advancement within the Dutch manufacturing industry.
