Boers & Co in the first lego league
On Friday, 11 December, Boers & Co participates as a jury member in the Rijnmond regional final of the FIRST LEGO League. Our task on the jury is to assess the Lego robots on three aspects, namely: Mechanical Design, Programming and Strategy & Innovation. This year’s theme is ‘TRASH TREK’. After all, waste has more facets than you might think. From collection and sorting to clever reuse in order to make new products.
The FIRST LEGO League (FLL®) is a competition among young people from 9 to 16 years of age that challenges them to investigate the social role of engineering and technology based on various assignments. The assignments are associated each year with the theme and are defined in the “Challenge” that changes annually. The kids work in teams of no more than 10 participants in order to fulfil the assignments as well as possible and they then show the results during regional and national finals.
